SALON SUPERVISOR
Location: Cedars Salon, Gloucester City Centre
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £27,300 - £30,225 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
Start Date: Immediate start available
Cedars Salon is looking for an experienced, motivated and professional Salon Supervisor to join our friendly and established salon team.
This is a hands-on role combining beauty therapy, salon supervision and team support. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality treatments, support the day-to-day running of the salon and help develop our therapists and apprentices.
This role is ideal for an experienced Beauty Therapist who is ready to take the next step into salon leadership while remaining active in treatment delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality beauty treatments to clients
- Leading by example through excellent customer service and professional standards
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the salon site.
- Supervising and supporting therapists and apprentices
- Supporting appointment optimisation and diary management
- Assisting with rota planning and treatment column availability
- Supporting stock control, retail sales and salon presentation
- Promoting treatments, products and rebooking opportunities
- Supporting client queries, concerns and service recovery where required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and treatment room presentation
- Supporting the team to meet salon targets and improve client retention
- Acting as a key point of contact within the salon when required
- Working with senior management to improve salon performance
Essential Treatment Skills
We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident in:
- Intimate waxing
- Massage treatments
- Shellac/Gel nails
- Manicures and pedicures
- Facials and skincare treatments
- Brow and lash treatments
Additional Skills Desirable
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Laser hair removal
- IPL treatments
- Radio frequency skin tightening
- CACI facial treatments
- Advanced skincare treatments
Training can be provided in advanced treatments for the right candidate.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy preferred
- Strong Level 2 candidates with relevant experience will be considered
- Previous salon experience
- Experience supporting, coaching or supervising others
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident dealing with clients and supporting service recovery
- Strong organisational skills
- Professional, positive and reliable approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Passion for the beauty industry and continuous development
- Willingness to undertake and complete the Level 5 Operations or Departmental Manager Apprenticeship as part of the role
Learning and Development
Learning and development is at the heart of this role.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the Level 5 Operations or Departmental Manager Apprenticeship through our sister company, Cedars Training Academy.
This programme will support the development of leadership, operational and management skills required to supervise a successful salon environment. The successful candidate will be expected to fully engage with the apprenticeship and apply their learning within the workplace.
