Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and components for various dishes, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Support senior chefs with cooking tasks, including basic meal preparation and plating.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in dish presentation.
- Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies, including stock rotation and inventory checks.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Support the serving staff during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of food to customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting, including meal preparation or serving, will be considered a plus.
- No formal culinary qualifications are required; a genuine interest in cooking and learning new skills is essential.
