Procurement & Stores Coordinator
What you will be doing
Be responsible for procurement, stores, and stock control across satellite production, R&D, and general operations. Source, quote, order, receive, track, kit, and issue parts including EEE components, PCBs, mechanical parts, machined items, sensors, motors, bearings, equipment, and consumables. Work with engineering and production teams to interpret BOMs, chase suppliers, monitor delivery dates, flag shortages, maintain ERP/MRP data, support goods-in/goods-out, and help ensure parts are available for builds. Support import/export documentation, delivery trackers, and careful handling of ESD-sensitive or high-value components.
What we are looking for
Attitude > talent > experience. We are a lean, high-performing team, and we care deeply about calibre. We are looking for someone with strong initiative, high standards, and a practical “we will figure it out” attitude. This role does not require decades of experience, but it does require someone who is organised, detail-focused, proactive, and willing to take ownership. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, asking good questions, chasing things down, and improving how work gets done. This is an opportunity for someone with some relevant experience to accelerate quickly by helping build and refine an important part of the business.
Essential skills
Some experience in procurement, purchasing, stores, stock control, supply-chain support, or production coordination. Comfortable raising POs, requesting quotes, chasing suppliers, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. Able to work from BOMs, part lists, or technical purchasing requirements. Strong attention to detail with part numbers, quantities, delivery dates, and documentation. Clear communicator, organised, persistent, and able to manage multiple open orders and priorities. Willing to follow stock-control, labelling, traceability, and documentation procedures in a technical manufacturing environment.
Nice to haves
Experience procuring electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, machined parts, electromechanical items, or production-line stock. Experience in electronics, engineering manufacture, aerospace, defence, robotics, automotive, medical devices, or another quality-controlled technical environment. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, stock tracking, goods-in/goods-out, kitting, shortage reports, delivery trackers, long-lead items, and expediting critical parts. Experience supporting import/export paperwork, customs documentation, overseas supplier shipments, or end-use declarations. Experience handling ESD-sensitive, contamination-sensitive, or high-value components. Aerospace, satellite, or MIL-STD exposure beneficial but not essential.
Nice to knows
Depending on talent, experience, and future potential: Salary is £25,000 to £30,000 and up to 0.2% company equity participation, with dividend participation subject to company performance and dividend declarations. Pension contribution is matched up to 10%. We provide Company Life Insurance cover. Each employee has budget allocations for professional development and wellness.
