Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is recruiting for Two Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineers to join their team in Tavistock.

The Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer apprenticeship programme that we are offering, will allow you to kick-start your career in an industry that is constantly evolving, dynamic and transformational.

The Position

Job Title:

Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineer

Apprenticeship Course:

Level 4 Cellular Network Field Engineer

Apprenticeship Duration:

36 months

Location:

Tavistock PL19 – national travel may be required.

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm: Weekend and out-of-hours work may be required depending on project needs

Salary:

£10.50 per hour

About the Role:

Our client is one of the UK’s leading telecommunications rigging companies, working with many of the country’s major Mobile Network Operators. Due to continued growth, they are seeking motivated, reliable individuals to join their team as Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineers/Riggers.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in telecoms with full training provided.

As an Apprentice Cellular Network Field Engineers/Rigger, you’ll work as part of an experienced field team delivering projects across the UK. The role is hands-on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Working as part of a team on nationwide telecoms projects
Assisting with installation and rigging works on telecoms sites
Adapting to changing site conditions and last-minute changes
Identifying and helping solve on-site challenges
Maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship

What You’ll Learn

Working safely at height and using fall-arrest equipment.
Understanding of telecoms rigging and antenna systems.
Basic electrical principles, testing, and certification.
Health & Safety, RF awareness, and first aid at height.
Reading and following technical drawings.
Quality assurance and environmental awareness.
Teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
