Outlaw’s Guest House & Bistro is looking for a Guest House Host to become an integral part of our team, providing a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest who stays with us in the heart of Port Isaac.
As the first and last point of contact for many of our guests, you will play a key role in ensuring every stay is relaxed, seamless and enjoyable. Working closely with Nathan Outlaw, our General Manager and wider team, you will help maintain the high standards of hospitality that define the Outlaw’s experience.
About You
You will:
- Have previous experience in hospitality, guest services, reception or a customer-facing role
- Be naturally welcoming, friendly and professional
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enjoy building rapport with guests and anticipating their needs
- Be confident handling bookings, reservations and guest enquiries
- Have strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Be self-motivated and comfortable working independently when required
- Thrive in a busy, guest-focused environment
The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests and managing check-ins and departures
- Handling guest communications via telephone, email and online booking platforms
- Managing reservations and maintaining booking systems
- Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for guesthouse residents
- Assisting guests throughout their stay and providing local recommendations
- Opening and closing the guesthouse and bistro as required
- Coordinating with housekeeping and the wider team to ensure rooms are prepared to the highest standards
- Managing guest feedback and helping resolve any issues professionally and efficiently
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the guesthouse
What We Offer
- 40 hours per week
- Salary of £27,500 per annum (with tronc £35,500 Per annum)
