We are seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Compliance Manager / Operator Licence Holder to join our Fleet Team.
Based in Loughborough, Reporting to the Fleet Manager you will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, DVSA regulations, tachograph legislation, Working Time Directive rules, and company policies across multiple operating centres. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of operational compliance, driver performance, and fleet safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the designated Operator Licence Holder and oversee compliance activities across the fleet.
- Conduct regular site visits, compliance audits, and vehicle defect spot checks.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and compliance breaches, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Deliver driver inductions, refresher training, and remedial coaching where required.
- Carry out transport risk assessments and health & safety audits.
- Monitor driver performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate compliance, maintenance, and training records.
- Work closely with operational teams to promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and legal compliance.
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Transport Manager CPC Qualification.
- Strong understanding of Operator Licence compliance and transport legislation.
- Previous experience within a transport, fleet, or logistics environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and investigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Requirements:
- HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence.
- Experience operating car transporters.
- Driver training or assessment experience.
