Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Import Export Executive to oversee international trade operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics, ensuring compliance with regulations such as FDA standards, and facilitating seamless communication between supply chain partners. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in logistics, sales management, and B2B sales to contribute to our global operations. The position involves utilising advanced systems including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI, AS400, and CRM software to optimise import and export processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international shipments, ensuring timely delivery whilst adhering to customs and regulatory requirements such as FDA regulations.
- Utilise Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI, and AS400 to track shipments, update data entry records, and streamline logistics workflows.
- Develop and maintain relationships with 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to optimise supply chain efficiency.
- Negotiate terms with carriers, vendors, and clients to secure favourable rates and service levels.
- Oversee B2B sales activities related to import/export services, including lead generation and client management via CRM software.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant trade laws and documentation requirements across different countries.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support logistics solutions that meet client needs while maximising revenue opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs documentation, and transaction data in accordance with company policies.
- Provide support for logistics-related data entry tasks and utilise supply chain management tools for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in import/export operations within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI, AS400 systems, and CRM software is essential.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations including FDA standards.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing complex logistics projects.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills in a B2B sales context.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding processes, customs procedures, and supply chain optimisation strategies.

Pay: £24,420.00-£41,988.23 per year
