Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert advice to patients, and ensuring compliance with all legal and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional committed to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care in a dynamic environment. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting patient health and wellbeing through precise medication management and counselling.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct dosage and administration instructions are provided.
Offer professional advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, checking for potential drug interactions or contraindications.
Maintain comprehensive records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions in accordance with legal requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans.
Manage stock levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage and handling of medicines.
Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and organisational policies relating to pharmacy practice.
Educate patients on health matters, including medication adherence and lifestyle modifications where appropriate.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of service delivery.

Experience

A recognised degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or relevant regulatory body.
Proven experience working as a Pharmacist within a community or hospital setting is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. This role is ideal for a proactive Pharmacist committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £24.00-£28.00 per hour
