️ Kitchen Assistant – Full-Time (38.5 hours per week)

Location: Forest Manor Nursing Home
Hours: 38.5 hours per week – early morning to afternoon shifts
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent

Join Our Kitchen Team at Forest Manor!

At Forest Manor Nursing Home, our residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals every day. We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our Head Cook and kitchen team in preparing, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do:

Assist with the preparation of meals and snacks for residents.
Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed by the Head Cook.
Serve meals to residents in line with care plans and dietary requirements.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout the kitchen.
Wash up, clean kitchen equipment, and ensure work areas are tidy.
Help with stock rotation, storage, and basic inventory tasks.
Support the kitchen team during busy periods and special events.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous kitchen or catering experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided.
A reliable, flexible, and hardworking attitude.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do approach.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
