We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant with an specialist focus and experience with ASC to join our supportive, hardworking team. This role will be working within our Resource Provision unit with a range of SEN children, Previous experience working with SEN children is essential for this role and will require the successful candidate to provide targeted support to individuals.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with EHCPs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored learning activities
- Support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural needs
- Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to reviews
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience working with children with SEN (this is essential)
- Knowledge of a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, caring, and flexible approach
- Provide and co-ordinate effective interventions with a particular focus on developing strategies for supporting student with ASC.
- Enable students to gain independence and participate fully in the curriculum
- Have the ability to to build trusting and supportive relationships with parents and external agencies
- Be adaptable & empathetic
- Have a minimum of 2 years recent/relevant experience
- The ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
