We are seeking a motivated Trainee Fish Filleter to join our food production team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in fish processing and food preparation within a professional environment. The role involves learning specialised skills in fish filleting and food safety standards, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and filleting of fish under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work area
- Follow established procedures for food handling, storage, and sanitation
- Help with packaging and labelling finished products accurately
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills in fish butchery and food preparation techniques
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as required
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, culinary arts, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards is advantageous
- Experience in butchery or meat processing can be beneficial
- Restaurant or kitchen experience will be considered a plus
- No prior fish filleting experience is necessary; full training will be provided for the right candidate
