Field Care Supervisor / Care Team Leader – Full Time hybrid role
Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk
Salary: £18,967 per year (contracted) + field based hourly pay
Contracted Hours: 25 hours per week (Permanent)
Please note: Will need availability to work full time hours - 15+ hours pw field based delivering care etc, paid the hourly rate.
Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
This is a hands-on care and leadership role.
Whilst the position includes supervisory, quality assurance and care coordination responsibilities, a significant part of your role will involve delivering personal care and support to clients in their own homes.
You will be expected to lead by example, work alongside your care team in the community, and provide practical support where needed.
You will also be required to:
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Provide sickness and emergency care cover when required.
- Support care delivery during periods of increased demand.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced Senior Carer or Team Leader who enjoys both delivering outstanding care and supporting others to do the same.

About the Role
This is a hybrid role combining leadership, quality assurance and direct care delivery across North and South Lowestoft.
You will spend time supporting carers in the field, carrying out supervisory duties, completing client reviews and assessments, and providing hands-on care to clients when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes.
- Supervise, mentor and support Care Assistants in the field.
- Conduct spot checks, observations, welfare visits and quality audits.
- Complete client assessments, risk assessments and care reviews.
- Develop and maintain person-centred care plans.
- Review care records, medication documentation and compliance paperwork.
- Support new staff through induction, shadowing and ongoing coaching.
- Assist with rota stability and emergency visit cover.
- Monitor care delivery using Birdie and support service quality improvements.
- Participate in the on-call rota and respond appropriately to service issues.
- Escalate safeguarding concerns, incidents and quality issues when required.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Previous experience in domiciliary care.
- Experience as a Senior Carer, Care Team Leader, Care Supervisor or similar.
- Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising care staff.
- Experience completing care plans and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rota and provide care cover when required.
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Experience using Birdie or a similar care management system.
- Experience conducting staff supervisions and medication audits.
