PCE Automation is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Beccles. This role involves assembling mechanical components and automated machinery to detailed engineering drawings, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble and build high-quality automated machinery and equipment. Working from engineering drawings and assembly instructions, you will play a key role in ensuring our systems are built to the highest standards of precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Assemble mechanical components and machinery in accordance with specifications.
- Gather and prepare materials, parts, and equipment required for assembly.
- Take accurate measurements to ensure correct fit and alignment of components.
- Modify or adjust components where required to meet design specifications.
- Carry out quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Identify and report faults, defects, or assembly issues.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Record production activities and assembly times as required.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a mechanical assembly, fitting, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of quality control and inspection processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and practical problem-solving ability.
- HNC, HND, apprenticeship, or other engineering qualification would be advantageous.
