Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing goods for shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a fast-paced logistics environment, with a focus on materials handling, stock organisation, and quality control. Core Responsibilities
- Packing and Bagging: Packing items into boxes, bags, or other shipping containers.
- Inspecting Goods: Checking products for damage, quality issues, or faults before packing.
- Labelling and Sealing: Sealing bags, applying labels, packing tape, and necessary documentation to packages.
- Inventory Management: Assisting with restocking shelves, organising inventory, and keeping accurate records of stored items.
- Order Fulfilment: Picking products from storage areas and moving them to the packing station.
- Area Maintenance: Keeping the packing and warehouse area clean, organised, and free of clutter.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehousing, picking & packing, or related roles is desirable
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking
- Mechanical knowledge can be advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate packing and stock management
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and load/unload operations throughout the shift
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
