Job Overview

About the Role

Holmwood Care Centre is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our 60-bed

care home. Working alongside the Maintenance Operative, you will ensure residents enjoy a safe,

comfortable and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities

General maintenance and minor repairs.
Decorating, basic carpentry and plumbing repairs.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and health & safety checks.
Grounds maintenance.
Supporting contractors.
Maintaining records.
Responding to maintenance requests.

Essential Skills

Good DIY and maintenance skills.
Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
Good communication skills.
Positive and flexible approach.

Desirable

Previous maintenance experience.
Basic plumbing, decorating or carpentry experience.
Knowledge of health & safety.
