Street Steward – Bishop’s Stortford

Optic Security Services Ltd is recruiting professional and

customer-focused Street Stewards to support our contract in

Bishop’s Stortford.

This is a public-facing role where strong communication skills

and a confident, friendly approach are essential. You will act as

a visible presence in the town, assisting members of the public,

supporting local businesses, and helping to maintain a safe and

welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing a high-visibility presence in Bishop’s Stortford

town centre

Assisting members of the public with directions and

general enquiries

Supporting community safety initiatives Reporting incidents and liaising with relevant authorities

when required

Delivering excellent customer service at all times

Requirements:

Excellent spoken English
Strong customer service skills
Good knowledge of the Bishop’s Stortford area
Professional, reliable, and approachable manner
Up-to-date DBS certificate (required)
SIA Security Licence (preferred – includes DBS)
Valid UTR number (required for self-employed status)
