Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in welding and fabrication, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Cut and weld steel to form bespoke items, TIG welding used in workshop and on site
- Fabricate steel parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes.
- Measure and mark materials accurately using basic math skills to meet specifications.
- Assemble fabricated parts into final products or structures according to technical drawings and plans.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Inspect completed work for quality control, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding and steel fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
