Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our organisation.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, cars, or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan routes effectively to ensure punctual deliveries or pickups.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured during transit.
Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and colleagues.
Follow company policies regarding health and safety procedures at all times.
Assist with administrative tasks related to transportation schedules as required.

Skills

Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Cat B for vans, Cat C for lorries).
Proven experience as a driver, preferably within a commercial or organisational setting.
Excellent knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unforeseen circumstances effectively.
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for organised individuals who take pride in their punctuality and professionalism while ensuring safety on the road.
