Kitchen Assistant Join our dynamic culinary team as a motivated and energetic Kitchen Assistant! In this essential role, you will support daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth meal preparation, food handling, and service. Key Responsibilities - Food Preparation: Assist with meal assembly and food prep by following established recipes and standards. - Food Safety: Handle ingredients safely, ensuring proper storage, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety regulations. - Support Kitchen Staff: Aid chefs with basic cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes. - Maintain Cleanliness: Keep workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and organized throughout shifts. - Food Service: Deliver prepared dishes to designated areas or tables as needed. - Prevent Contamination: Follow proper food handling procedures to avoid contamination and spoilage. - Event Preparation: Assist in catering setups and special event preparations as required. Qualifications - Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. - Culinary Skills: Basic skills in knife handling and meal preparation techniques. - Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices in the food industry. - Equipment Familiarity: Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling procedures. - Efficiency: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - **Teamwork:** Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills and supporting colleagues.
