Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the maintenance department in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background, leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Assist with routine maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Support the inspection and troubleshooting of equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
Perform basic welding and mechanical repairs as required.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control machinery functions.
Contribute to the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times.
Supervise junior staff or trainees when necessary, providing guidance and leadership.
Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal clients.

Requirements

Proven experience with electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certifications preferred.
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
