Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Violin Teacher to join our vibrant music education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging violin lessons tailored to students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for music and supporting their musical development. Duties
- Plan and deliver individualised and group violin lessons that cater to students’ ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate technical skill development, musical expression, and theory.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of music.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.
- Incorporate behaviour management strategies to maintain discipline and focus during lessons.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special educational needs or behavioural challenges.
- Organise recitals, performances, or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their progress.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and student achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in staff meetings or training sessions.
- Must be comfortable being in front of the camera for social media content and advertisement
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching violin or similar musical instruments at various levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, including preschool or early childhood education experience.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills essential for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support such as proofreading or creative writing is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Background in childcare or teaching physical education can enhance instructional versatility.
- Familiarity with teaching mathematical concepts related to music theory is a plus.
