An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Scientist to join the Respiratory and Sleep Sciences Department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW), a recognised UHCWi Centre of Excellence.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake routine and specialised lung function testing in accordance with departmental and national standards
Perform calibration and quality control procedures on all respiratory laboratory equipment
Support the clinical supervision, training, and development of less experienced staff
Maintain and update own professional knowledge and competencies in line with professional requirements
Contribute to departmental research, audit, and service improvement initiatives

Participate in the standard setting for all routine test procedures performed and equipment used, including participation in the development of standard operating procedures.
Contribute to the maintenance of safe working practices within the department, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, other relevant legislation and Trust policies.
Contribute to the day to day running of the department, including appointment provision and stock control.
Undertake specified administrative tasks, under supervision, for development within an agreed personal development plan.
