We are passionate about developing future engineering talent and are looking for a motivated, ambitious apprentice to join our team and support the next stage of our growth.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) Engineering through a structured Level 3 apprenticeship programme.

You will work alongside experienced engineers on customer sites, gaining hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance and servicing of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will develop practical engineering skills, technical knowledge and industry-recognised qualifications.

This role is predominantly site-based and involves regular travel to customer locations under the supervision of senior engineers.

Apprenticeship Programme

Qualification: Refrigeration air conditioning and heat pump engineering technician / Skills England ( Course Reference ST0322)

Duration: 36 months

SURE Solutions will fully support your apprenticeship by covering training costs, providing study time and mentoring throughout the programme.

You will attend Liverpool City College on block release for one week per month as part of your apprenticeship training.

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting experienced engineers with installation, maintenance and servicing projects
Learning about refrigeration systems, air conditioning, heat pumps and thermodynamics
Developing practical skills through the use of engineering tools and equipment
Communicating professionally with colleagues, customers and suppliers
Providing general support to the engineering team as required
Contributing ideas to help improve processes and ways of working
Playing an active role within our apprentice team, sharing ideas, learning from others and supporting your colleagues
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and professionalism on customer sites

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Qualifications

GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade 4-9 (A*-C) or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good attention to detail
Methodical and analytical approach to work
Strong organisational skills
Ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges
Ability to adapt to changing situations
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

GCSE Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Design Technology, Computer Science or related subjects
Previous work experience (not essential)

Personal Qualities

Strong desire to learn and develop
Positive and proactive attitude
Reliable and hardworking
Resilient and persistent when facing challenges
Genuine interest in engineering and technology
Desire to learn to drive and obtain a full UK driving licence during the apprenticeship
