Events Coordinator
Location: Hambledon Wine Estate, Hampshire
Reports to: Event Sales Manager
Contract: Full-time
About Us
Hambledon is a 220-acre Hampshire wine estate, the Birthplace of English wine, located in the South Downs National Park. In 2023, it was purchased by British-owned and multi-generational businesses, Symington Family Estates and Berry Bros. & Rudd.
Taking our founder’s and new owners’ pioneering spirit, our vision is to create the finest English sparkling wine that earns a deserved place in the hearts of consumers alongside the world’s most prestigious champagne houses.
The Role
We are looking for an organised, energetic and guest-focused Events Coordinator to help bring Hambledon’s events to life.
Working closely with the Event Sales Manager, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of a varied calendar of private celebrations, corporate events, wine experiences and estate-led occasions. You will be the key link between the client and our operational teams, ensuring every event is well communicated, beautifully organised and delivered with care.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing detail, people and pace. One day you may be finalising a wedding timeline, the next briefing the restaurant and kitchen teams for a corporate lunch or helping deliver a busy summer event on the estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate events from confirmed booking through to delivery and follow-up.
- Be a friendly and professional point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Prepare event sheets, function plans, timings, room layouts and operational briefs.
- Work closely with the restaurant, kitchen, tours, wine, marketing and facilities teams to ensure everyone has the right information.
- Support site visits, tastings and client meetings where required.
- Help oversee event set-up, delivery and close-down, including occasional evening and weekend work.
- Ensure event details, guest numbers, dietary requirements, supplier information and final arrangements are accurately recorded.
- Assist with post-event feedback, debriefs and continual improvement.
- Support the Event Sales Manager in maintaining a smooth, high-quality events operation.
About You
You will be naturally organised, calm under pressure and genuinely enjoy making things happen. You will have a strong eye for detail, communicate clearly and be confident building relationships with both clients and colleagues.
You may already work in events, hospitality, weddings, restaurants, hotels or visitor attractions. Above all, you will bring energy, ownership and pride in delivering a brilliant guest experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in events, hospitality, customer service or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisation and administration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A practical, proactive approach and willingness to get involved.
- A high standard of professionalism and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- A full driving license is preferable due to our rural location.
