About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Assistant Greenkeeper to join our greens team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sports turf, outdoor work, and maintaining high-quality playing surfaces at our 54-hole members club.
Working alongside the Course Manager and wider team, you will assist in the preparation and maintenance of the golf course and surrounding areas to ensure excellent presentation and playing conditions year-round.
Key Responsibilities
· Daily high standard preparation of the courses
· Assist with daily golf course maintenance and presentation
· Operate and maintain turf care machinery and equipment
· Mowing, strimming, bunker maintenance, and course setup
· Support irrigation, drainage, and turf management programmes
· Help maintain health and safety standards across the site
· Assist with seasonal projects and general grounds maintenance
Candidate Requirements
· Passion for golf course or sports turf maintenance
· Good work ethic and willingness to learn
· Flexibility to work early morning and weekends
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
· Previous greenkeeping or grounds maintenance experience desirable but not essential
· Relevant turf management qualifications advantageous
· Full UK driving licence essential
