Join our friendly and supportive Inpatient Unit team, providing outstanding palliative and end-of-life care to patients and families when they need it most. We’re looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant with experience in healthcare, care homes, hospitals or community care who is passionate about delivering person-centred care.

Hours: full & part-time considered (to cover a 24-hour service, expected 12 hour shifts – predominantly nights with occasional day shifts).

What is the role?

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support the delivery of compassionate, individualised care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, helping to maintain comfort, dignity and quality of life.

Working closely with our nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you will:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Follow personalised care plans and report changes in patients’ conditions. Support patients and families with empathy and sensitivity.
Help maintain a safe, calm and welcoming environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care.

You’ll work flexibly across our inpatient unit and community services to meet patient needs.

Do you have?

Level 2 diploma in Adult Care/Care Certificate (or willingness to work towards)
A compassionate, caring approach and a genuine desire to support patients and families
Able to communicate sensitively with people during difficult times
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A willingness to learn, reflect and develop your skills
