Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment, specialising in fish dishes and meal preparation. The Fish Fryer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, delicious meals are prepared efficiently and safely, supporting the overall dining experience.

Duties

Prepare and cook fish dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Assist with meal preparation, including cleaning, filleting, and portioning fish
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, including washing utensils and surfaces
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential
Experience in meal preparation, particularly with fish or seafood, is advantageous
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary techniques is preferred
Prior experience in a customer-facing role such as serving or hospitality can be beneficial but is not mandatory

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
