The successful candidate will undertake Initial and Periodic inspection of instrument and electrical equipment contained within a 'Potentially Explosive Atmosphere'.

Suitably experienced electrical or instrumentation technician with sound knowledge of equipment contained within a potentially explosive atmosphere. You will be required to be able to plan, co-ordinate and execute inspection and testing requirements to BS EN 60079-17. A sound knowledge and understanding of the 'ATEX Directives' is required.

Note: A valid CompEx 1 - 4 certification is essential.

Main responsibilities:

Plan/Coordinate and Undertake Hazardous Equipment Inspection

You will need to hold the following:

Time served apprenticeship
CompEx Ex01-Ex04 certificate
Demonstrable Hazardous Inspector competence , and certification of electrical installations

Desirable:

CompEx Ex 5 & 6
CompEx Ex 12
