Job Overview
We are seeking a hardworking & reliable Roofers Mate/ Trainee Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside an experienced Roofer installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role requires a strong understanding of safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights.The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a desire to work in construction to develop their skills within a professional environment. Training will be offered to NVQ level 2 standard, CSCS green card and working at heights training.
Responsibilities and training will be given to enable the right candidate to:
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to determine roofing requirements.
- Install new roofs using appropriate materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets.
- Repair or replace existing roofing structures, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate custom components using welding, carpentry, or masonry techniques as needed.
- Assist with the installation of flashing, gutters, and ventilation systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures.
- Physical fitness to work in demanding environments at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Clean driving licence an advantage

Pay: £100.15-£150.00 per day
