Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team working Friday and Saturday 5pm-9pm. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a memorable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and creating a positive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing reservations efficiently
Escorting guests to their tables and providing menus
Answering phone calls promptly and courteously, taking reservations or providing information as needed
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Handling guest enquiries professionally and resolving any issues promptly

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure during busy periods
Organised with strong attention to detail in managing reservations and guest flow
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not essential as training will be given
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
