Cafe & Social Enterprise Manager
Location: Pontypridd
Hours: 37 hours per week with some evening and weekend work required
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Duration: Fixed term for 12 months
Closing date: 30/6/26
Key details/responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Café & Social Enterprise Manager to assist with starting-up and then leading the day-to-day operations of our brand-new Social Enterprise café. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident managing both front-of-house and kitchen operations, including cooking when required.
Important: The setting-up and running of the cafe will feature as part of a new TV documentary series for the BBC and therefore the Manager will need to be comfortable being filmed and included in the programme content.
The Manager will be integral to the running of a ground-breaking social enterprise café, which employs people in recovery from substance use. The Manager will play a vital role in supporting individuals back into meaningful employment, helping them develop confidence, structure, and pride through work.
Alongside managing daily café operations, the Manager will mentor and lead a diverse team, providing on-the-job training, supporting staff to gain skills and recognised qualifications and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment. This is more than a hospitality role - it is an opportunity to make a genuine social impact, while delivering a high-quality café experience.
