Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in food preparation and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all tasks
Organise and clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
Help with meal assembly and presentation as directed
Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during service
Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or contamination

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
