Birch Veterinary Centre has been established for over 100 years, with our main branch in Oxton and a consulting-only practice in Moreton. Oxton is close to the village with great local amenities and excellent transport links to Liverpool.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients in a friendly, professional manner
- Managing appointments and reception diaries
- Handling enquiries and converting them into appointments
- Maintaining accurate client and pet records
- Promoting preventive healthcare and practice services
- Taking payments and securing follow-up appointments
- Keeping the reception area clean and organised
This a part time roll working 24 hours per week Monday–Wednesday, 9:30am–6:30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch) with a minimum of 4 Saturdays per year, 9am–2pm and no out-of-hours work.
- At least 1 year’s receptionist experience (veterinary experience preferred)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated, organised and professional
- Willing and able to travel between branches to cover holidays
