Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Office Furniture Installer to join our team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in furniture installation and related construction activities. Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly and installation of office furniture according to specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and wrenches to assemble components
- Operate power tools safely for drilling, cutting, and fixing furniture parts
- Support with basic carpentry and joinery tasks during installation processes
- Aid in the fabrication of custom components as required
- Carry out heavy lifting of furniture and materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during installations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Skills
- Basic knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and use of hand tools
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
- Some experience or understanding of carpentry, joinery, or masonry is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to furniture installation and construction trades
- Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills
- Physical fitness suitable for manual handling tasks and working on-site for extended periods
- Driving licence is an advantage for this position.
