Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English language lessons to diverse learners, supporting their language acquisition journey. Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ESOL lessons tailored to the needs of individual learners
- Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement
- Develop customised learning materials and resources to enhance lesson effectiveness
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content and share best practices
- Utilise IT tools effectively to support teaching activities and learner engagement
- Communicate clearly with learners, colleagues, and stakeholders regarding progress and programme updates
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or similar language instruction roles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learner groups effectively
- Familiarity with IT applications relevant to teaching and learning environments
- Organisational skills necessary for lesson planning, record keeping, and programme coordination
- Experience in teaching or working within a multicultural or multilingual setting is advantageous.
