Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaper/Labourer to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hard landscaping. The successful candidate will work on various landscaping projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Experience in landscaping and knowledge is desirable, along with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and operating equipment such as excavators. This paid position is suitable for those eager to develop their skills within the landscaping industry.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to carry out various landscaping activities
- Assist with construction projects such as laying pathways, installing fencing, or building garden features
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across landscaped areas
- Operate machinery including excavators and other heavy equipment as required
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials on-site
- Follow health and safety protocols to minimise risks during all operations
- Support team members in completing projects within specified timeframes
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and basic repairs is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- Driving license is essential
