Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Line Chef to join our team at <STREETADDRESS>, <LOCATION> ME18 5QY. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support the senior kitchen team in food production to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Contribute to the development of new menu items and presentation styles under supervision
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours
