Full job description

Job Title: Transport Administrator

Location: Unit 14 Quarry Wood Industrial Estate, Mills Road, Aylesford, ME20 7NA

Salary: £28,644.30 per annum

Are you an efficient, experienced Transport Administrator looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a strong administrator to join our busy Transport Department at our site in Aylesford on a full time, permanent basis.

Hours for the Transport Administrator role will be 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a salary of £28,644.30 per annum!

What does the job involve?

Delivering a professional, fast and efficient administration service to the Transport office.
Conducting driver debriefs.
Maintaining accurate and up to date transport documentation and reports.
Booking vehicles in for servicing and maintenance.
Managing stock levels of consumables and the reuseable tray inventory.
Answering and resolving telephone & email queries.
Collaboratively working with the Fleet Administrator tracking and ensuring compliance with the Working Time Directive.
Liaising with customers and the customer service team to resolve queries.
Ad-hoc administrative tasks supporting the department and office function.
Communication with drivers to track the completion of deliveries and collections and to gather information on request such as ETA’s

Key Skills / Experience

Reliable and professional
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent communication skills and excels at building relationships
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
Previous experience in Transport/Logistics is desirable but not essential
Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
