Training Instructor – Water Industry

Got hands-on experience in the water industry and want to pass it on? At Gold Tap Training, we're looking for experienced industry professionals ready to step into a Training Instructor role. No training experience? That's fine, we'll help you build those skills and work towards your teaching qualifications. Already have some training experience, even better! We specialise in delivering high quality, engaging training across Water Industry Operations and Health and Safety, through our state of the art training centre, live virtual classrooms, and on-site at client premises. About You
We'd love to hear from you if you have knowledge, skills, or experience in any of the following areas:
- Water Distribution Networks
- Water Treatment Process
- Water Treatment Works
- Water Production
- Water Storage
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering engaging training sessions to a high standard across a variety of subjects
- Assessing learner performance and providing constructive feedback
- Creating and adapting training materials to suit client needs and awarding body requirements
- Supporting the development and quality improvement of training programmes
- Monitoring learner progress and providing learner support where necessary
- Maintaining knowledge of training best practices and industry developments
- Working in accordance with company policies and the BMS as applicable to the role
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- At least 2 years' experience in the water utilities industry
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (don't worry if you don't have these yet, we'll support you to achieve them):
- Experience in a training or instructional role
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Training & Development / Education (e.g. PTTLS / CTTLS)
- Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA / CAVA)
- IOSH Technical Membership (or above)
- EUSR accreditation
You'll also need excellent communication and presentation skills, strong organisation and time management, a can-do attitude, the ability to work independently, and confidence with MS Office, Teams, and Zoom.
