We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BDMA Senior Technician (Specialist Cleaning & Restoration) to join our nationwide operations team. The successful candidate will take a lead role on site, overseeing works to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and that every job is delivered safely, compliantly, and to a consistently high standard. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with strong technical capability across specialist cleaning and restoration works, who can also guide and develop assistant technicians on site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee sites and ensure all company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work are followed at all times.
- Deliver specialist works across a range of services including mould remediation, fire and flood restoration, hoarding and biohazard cleans, and oil/chemical spill response.
- Lead by example on site, ensuring quality standards are met and the job is completed efficiently and professionally.
- Guide, support, and teach assistant technicians, helping to build capability and confidence within the team.
- Be confident using power tools and physically able to support projects requiring rip-outs and heavy-duty manual labour when required.
- Participate in the on-call rota and be available every 3rd week for emergency response works.
- Maintain a professional approach when representing the business on client sites, ensuring clear communication and a solutions-focused attitude.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a technician within specialist cleaning/restoration environments (mould, fire/flood, hoarding/biohazard, oil/chemical spills).
- BDMA qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Strong working knowledge of safe working practices and the ability to enforce policy and standards on site.
- Confident and competent with power tools, with a practical, hands-on approach to site work.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks, including rip-outs and demanding labour when required.
- Willing and able to travel nationwide (this is a nationwide role, not based at one fixed location).
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
