Binny’s Team Member (Barista & Food Prep)

At binny & the bean, we’re passionate about serving exceptional speciality local coffee, fresh homemade food, incredible bakes & pastries and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels at home. We’re looking for a creative, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our growing binny’s team.
This is a hands-on role combining barista duties with food preparation, so you’ll need to be confident behind the coffee machine and comfortable working in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing consistently high-quality speciality coffee and matcha
- Producing clean, confident latte art
- Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, açai bowls and other menu items
- Creating and baking stock to fill our counter
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout
- Restocking, rotating stock and helping keep organised
- Opening and closing the shop when required
- Working efficiently and calmly, always with a smile, during busy services while maintaining quality
Essential Requirements
- Previous speciality coffee barista experience
- Confident producing latte art
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- A positive, hardworking and reliable attitude
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- High standards of cleanliness, organisation and attention to detail and understanding of kitchen hygiene rules & timings
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends & bank holidays
