Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced food service setting, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.

Age: Over 18 yrs only - due to nature of job role and hours/shifts that are required to work.

Responsibilities

Prepare customised sandwiches and salads according to customer preferences, ensuring high standards of food presentation and quality.
Greet customers warmly, taking their orders efficiently and accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, utensils, and food preparation stations.
Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
Upsell additional items such as drinks or snacks to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently during transactions.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients.
Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles is beneficial.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and food preparation methods. This role offers an engaging environment where you can develop your customer service skills while working within a supportive team dedicated to delivering quality food and service.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
