Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool After School Assistant to support our early childhood education programme. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising and engaging with children aged 3 to 11 years in after school hours, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and education, with experience in teaching, childcare settings.

Duties

Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and socialisation
Assist children with homework or educational tasks as needed
Support children in developing social skills through positive interaction and behaviour management
Coordinate with parents and teachers regarding children's needs and progress
Drive children to and from designated activities or outings when required
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the childcare setting
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or similar roles is highly desirable.
NVQ 3 in childcare and education.
Familiarity with early childhood development principles and educational activities
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Demonstrated patience, organisation skills, and a caring attitude towards young children
