Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our club house public areas. The ideal candidate will ensure that all public areas, including , corridors, restrooms, function room and restaurant, are kept hygienic, welcoming, and in excellent condition. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial roles is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience through high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. This will also include a general tidy of show lodges on a weekly basis to ensure they are ready for viewings.

Duties

Clean and sanitise all public areas such as offices, staircases, clubhouse restaurant and function room, and restrooms to ensure they meet hygiene standards.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors regularly to maintain a spotless appearance.
Restock supplies in restrooms and communal areas, including toiletries and paper products.
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied frequently.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the relevant department promptly.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and ensure it is stored securely after use.
Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as required by management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial roles is preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends . The intention is for 2 people to cover this role over a 7 day period with alternating shifts. So that one week it is 3 mornings between 8.30-12.00pm and another week 4 mornings between 08.30-11.30pm This role provides an opportunity for individuals committed to maintaining a clean environment that enhances guest satisfaction.
