Aspen Estate Management are looking to hire an experienced gardener 2-3 days per week to look after a collection of large private gardens. You will be expected to work as part of a small team, as well as on your own. You will be required to attend to fixed locations on a weekly basis, always consisting of a days work at each and the same location on each day. The position would suit an experienced self employed gardener looking for regular part-time work.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Maintaining kitchen gardens,
- Formal beds/borders,
- Manicured lawns,
- Topiary and hedges,
- Annual plant and garden management
- Use of garden machinery, (keep in good working order)
The ideal candidate must have recent experience and good knowledge of working in gardens to a high standard, an understanding of managing seasonal changes and dealing with plants with the correct horticultural practice. Ideally a relevant qualification in horticulture such as rhs level 2/3 or a comprehensive understanding of plants, including botanical names, pests, and disease and maintenance requirements.
