Job Description
Kaijah Lounge is a brand-new Afro-Southern grill and cocktail lounge opening in Moston, Manchester. We are seeking an Experienced / Senior Bartender / Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team, uphold licensing compliance (including Challenge 25), and ensure accurate bill handling and smooth service operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a confident hospitality professional who can combine mixology expertise with team supervision and operational precision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise junior bar staff during shifts
- Enforce Challenge 25 and ensure full compliance with UK licensing laws
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks to a high standard
- Ensure accurate order entry, bill taking, and till/POS reconciliation
- Oversee cash handling and minimise discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar
- Monitor stock levels and support stock control procedures
- Deliver fast, friendly, and professional customer service
- Assist with training and mentoring new bar team members
- Support management in maintaining service standards and atmosphere
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years bar experience in a busy bar, lounge, or restaurant
- Previous supervisory or senior bartender experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Challenge 25 and UK licensing laws
- Proven experience operating POS/till systems accurately
- Confident cocktail-making skills (classics and signature drinks)
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktail presentation
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, professional, and well-presented
- Available evenings and weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
