The Growth Company’s (GC) Education and Skills team has an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to design, deliver, and assess high‑quality training that maximises learning outcomes and supports learners to achieve their full potential.

Please note, this role will focus on delivering Health and Social Care and Childcare L1/L2 programmes and embedding work skills.
The expected start date for this position is late August 2026, as there is no immediate start requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out initial and on-going assessment to ensure students are on the right programme and receiving the right level of support.
- Plan and design appropriate training programmes (including development of schemes of work, lesson plans, Apprenticeship Learning Plans etc), taking account of individual requirements to ensure differentiation of learning.
- Adopt effective use of new technologies including development of learning programmes to enhance the learning experience for students.
- Deliver high quality, engaging training to encourage learners to attend, stay on programme and achieve.
- Manage the safe evacuation of students in the event of fire or other emergency, following agreed company procedures and ensure that health and safety procedures are always followed.
- Mark/assess students’ work, provide structured feedback and set development objectives for students.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the study programme, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progression goals.
- Provide subject-specific support and guidance, ideally bringing experience within Employability.

Skills Required:
- Industry experience in specialist area.
- Experience of T&L quality standards awareness of OFSTED inspection requirements.
- At least 1 years’ teaching experience.
- Where appropriate, comfortable in working with Young People with EHCP/SEND (learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities).
- Up to date knowledge of specialist subject area/professional qualifications as appropriate.
- Must hold teaching qualification – PGCE, PGDE, Cert Ed, DTLLS.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and procedures including emergency evacuation.
- Strong behaviour management within the classroom.
