About XUM Enterprise Ltd
XUM Enterprise Ltd is not your average IT hardware company. Based in Manchester and operating globally, we specialise in laptops, desktops, servers, memory, storage and networking equipment. We source, refurbish and distribute thousands of units every month across Amazon, eBay, Back Market and direct B2B trade channels, while driving the circular economy through sustainable IT operations.
Our business operates across the UK, UAE, China and Europe, with continued expansion into new international markets. We run on ISO-aligned systems, WAMITAB and CIWM standards, supported by industrial-scale refurbishment, international logistics and disciplined in-house processes.
We move fast, we care about accuracy and we take performance seriously.
This Role Is Different
This is not a retail sales role and it is not a generic customer service position.
We are specifically looking for someone who understands technology, IT hardware, or trade sales environments. We need someone who can quickly understand products, specifications, stock movement and customer requirements without needing constant explanation.
You do not need to know everything on day one, but you must already be comfortable around computers, laptops, components, IT products, or technical trade environments.
If your experience is only in retail shop sales, call centres, or non-technical account management, this role will likely not be the right fit.
The Role
As a Sales Assistant – IT Hardware & Trade Sales, you will support the Trade Sales team with customer communication, quoting, order processing and day-to-day sales operations.
You will work closely with account managers, warehouse staff and purchasing teams to keep orders moving accurately and efficiently.
The role involves handling communication across Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Zendesk, email and phone while also supporting operational tasks through Linnworks, Xero and internal systems.
This is a fast-paced environment where organisation, responsiveness and attention to detail matter.
What You’ll Be Working With
You will regularly work with products including:
- Laptops
- Desktop PCs
- Servers
- RAM / Memory
- SSDs & HDDs
- Networking equipment
- Enterprise IT hardware
You should be comfortable understanding:
- Basic computer specifications
- Product models and generations
- Storage and memory terminology
- General IT hardware categories
You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be technically confident enough to understand what customers are discussing.

We Believe in Rockstar Hiring
At XUM, we hire people who can perform, not passengers who need chasing.
We would rather hire one organised, technically aware, commercially minded person who takes ownership than multiple average operators who constantly need supervision.
This role suits people who enjoy being busy, solving problems and working in high-output environments.
