With a proven track record in reactive sales and relationship management, you will play a key role in driving Meetings Events, group, and accommodation revenue while delivering an exceptional client experience for this stylish, one-of-a-kind hotel in Manchester City Centre.
This role reports to the Director of Sales and works closely with our National Commercial Team.
About the Role
Based at voco Manchester, you'll manage enquiries from initial contact through to conversion, build lasting client relationships, and work closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to maximise commercial opportunities. From conducting hotel show rounds to coordinating successful events, you'll ensure every client receives a seamless and personalised experience.
You will be responsible for converting enquiries into confirmed business and delivering outstanding commercial results through exceptional customer service and relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Meetings Events, group, and accommodation enquiries from initial enquiry through to confirmation and event delivery.
- Conducting hotel show rounds and preparing tailored proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Building strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and local businesses to generate repeat business.
- Working collaboratively with the Revenue, Operations, and Meetings Events teams to maximise revenue opportunities and ensure events are delivered to the highest standard.
- Monitoring enquiry conversion, response times, and commercial performance, while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve the customer experience.
You are a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and converting opportunities into business. Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused, you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
We're looking for someone with:
- A proven track record in reactive hotel or hospitality sales, with experience converting enquiries into business.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Experience conducting client meetings and hotel show rounds.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship management skills.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience using hotel sales systems and Microsoft Office applications (Opera PMS and Opera Sales Catering experience is advantageous).
