Full job description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the accounting department by performing various administrative and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial documents, such as invoices, bills, and bank statements.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including recording invoices, payments, and receipts.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours worked, updating employee records, and preparing payroll reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files, both electronic and physical.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and distribute financial reports and statements to internal stakeholders as needed.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as directed by senior accounting staff.
Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
Assist with other ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

Desired Skills:

Strong numerical and mathematical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently with numerical data.
Familiarity with accounting software and systems is a plus.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in financial transactions.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: as per experience

Schedule:

9:00 A.M to 5:00 PM
Monday to Saturday
